Scam texts

Please be aware there is are many scam texts circulating to people in our area.

If you get a text claiming to be from The First National Bank of Monterey that asks for immediate action or to click a link;

Do not respond and delete immediately 

This is an attempt so a person can contact you to obtain your banking information.  The First National Bank of Monterey will not contact you in this manner.

We will never call you asking for your account numbers, passwords or banking information.
